Painted in 2011 this is Eubena’s country south west of Balgo Hills in the mid part of the Canning Stock Route where she was born and an immensely important spiritual aspect of her identity. She depicts ‘tali’ or sandhills as her ‘story’.
This superb painting contrasts greatly with the main body of Eubena’s works which typically were dynamic expressions using reds and orange/yellows.Here, towards the end of her life is an exploration into more subtle colours with brilliant effect clearly showing the amazing qualities of a brilliant Aboriginal artist of great significance.
